Remove an Authenticated Domain

You can remove an authenticated domain from Bloomerang Volunteer. You might do this if your organization’s domain name changed or you no longer send emails from that domain in Bloomerang Volunteer.

Removing a domain can affect your email templates. If your email templates use a sender address from the removed domain:

When you remove a domain, email addresses from that domain with the status Fully Verified now have the status Partially Verified. You can use only Fully Verified email addresses as sender addresses in Bloomerang Volunteer. Partially Verified email addresses can be used for only reply-to addresses.

If you remove a domain from Bloomerang Volunteer, you can add it again later. Your DKIM key always remains the same.

Remove a Domain

You can remove a domain with the status Authenticated, Pending, Expired, or Failed.

To remove a domain from Bloomerang Volunteer:

  1. Go to your organization or opportunity settings.
  2. Click Email Communications.
  3. Click Authenticate Domains.
  4. Hover over the domain.
  5. Click Actions.
  6. Click Remove Domain
  7. To confirm, click Remove. The domain no longer appears in the Verified Domains list in Bloomerang Volunteer.

Note: Re-adding a domain can change the From Sender address in email templates. This happens only if a template uses an email address from your domain, you remove the domain, and you don’t modify the template further. When you re-add the domain, the From Sender changes back to your domain email address.
