Enable and Manage Organization Notifications

To help keep managers informed, notify them when a volunteer signs up for or applies to the organization. You can enable email and bell notifications.

Bell notifications appear in Bloomerang Volunteer in the main navigation bar, and are available everywhere. Click the bell to view notifications.

Manage Organization Notifications

With Organization notifications, you can choose to send an email notification, a bell notification in Bloomerang Volunteer, or both when a volunteer takes action on the organization. 

Notifications are sent only when a volunteer takes action. Notifications are not sent when an administrator or manager performs an action on their behalf.

Note: Changes to notifications apply to the organization you’ve selected. Each organization has its own set of notifications. 

To set up or change shift or organization notifications:

  1. Open your organization. If you are in more than one organization, open the organization where you want to manage notifications.
  2. On the organization home page, click General Settings General Settings icon, shaped like a gear..
  3. Click Notification Settings.
  4. In the Organization Notifications section, turn these notifications on or off:
    • Sign Up — Get notified when volunteers registration process to sign up for the organization.
    • Apply — Get notified when volunteers apply to join the organization. This means there are pending applications that require organization manager approval.

Tip: You can also quickly update notification settings for each opportunity from the Opportunity List in your Organization settings
