How do I change a Volunteer's permissions?

Adjust permissions of Volunteers within your organization.

You can adjust Volunteer permissions to allow members of your Organization to do more with Bloomerang Volunteer. You can allow Volunteers to view historical data, create new Opportunities, and more. To change a Volunteer's permissions, select them from your Organization's Volunteer List and select the 'Permissions' tab on the left-hand side of their profile card.

As an Organization Manager, you can also grant the same level of access to others within your Organization. This can be done if you wish for another person to have full access to Volunteers, Opportunities, and all associated settings and permissions. Please keep in mind, whomever you grant this permission to will have full access to everything in your system as this is the absolute highest possible level of permission in Bloomerang Volunteer. To grant the Organization Manager permission to a Volunteer, select them from your Organization's Volunteer List and select the 'Permissions' tab on the left-hand side of their profile card. You can then select the 'Organization Manager' checkbox and click done.

You can also grant permission to allow your Volunteers to view historic data as well as create Opportunities. Allowing a Volunteer to view historic data means that if they are an Opportunity Manager, they can copy data from other Opportunities within the Organization. This can be enabled with or without granting them access to create Opportunities on their own. Lastly, you can view, filter, and manage your other Organization Managers from the Volunteer List within your Organization. Filter by Organization Managers and use the Take Action button to send messages.

Tip: Keep your Organization Managers up-to-date, adding new Volunteers and revoking the permission from those who do not require it.
