Your volunteers can use the Attendance Kiosk to check in and out of shifts and opportunities. Read more about the Attendance Kiosk

To help volunteers access the Attendance Kiosk, share the QR code or link. For example, insert the link in email messages such as automated shift reminders or general reminders. Let volunteers know they can use the Attendance Kiosk or the Bloomerang Volunteer mobile app

You can also print, download, or copy the QR code. For example, print the QR code and display it in multiple places at your event or site. Volunteers scan the code with their mobile phone to check in without waiting in line.

Note: The Attendance Kiosk doesn’t include geo-location tracking. If you enable geo-location tracking in Attendance Settings for an opportunity, ask volunteers to use the Bloomerang Volunteer mobile app to check in and out. Don’t share the Attendance Kiosk QR code or link with your volunteers if you need geo-location data.

Before You Begin

To allow volunteers to check themselves in and out, you must enable General Attendance or Shift Attendance, and then enable Self check-in/check-out.

Read about how to enable these settings.

What is a QR Code?

A QR code is a special type of barcode that looks like a patterned square. Most mobile devices have a built-in app that can scan QR codes. When volunteers scan your QR code with their mobile phones, the Attendance Kiosk opens. Your QR code is the same for all of your organizations, opportunities, and shifts, and it never expires.
