Create Groups

Organization and Opportunity Managers can create an unlimited number of groups from within an opportunity. Organization and event managers can create account-based groups and number-based groups. Each group must have a Group Leader and a unique Group Title.

To create a group:

  1. In an opportunity, click Groups.
  2. On the Groups page, click + Groups.
  3. Enter a unique Group Name.
  4. Click + Group Leader to select a group leader. Volunteers that are already group leaders do not appear in this list.
  5. Select a group type.
  6. Click Create Group.

Note: If the opportunity manager enables the Group Registration Questions option, each volunteer can create one group during the opportunity signup process. For more information, read Set Up Recruitment for an Opportunity.
