Can a Shift be Waitlist only?
Yes, a Shift Role can be set up as Waitlist only when the Manager wants to pick the staff/volunteers that actually get scheduled. The Waitlist Only setting allows for Shift approvals based on any number of factors. When staff/volunteers signup for Shift Roles or the Waitlist the time and date that they signed up are recorded, this allows Managers to use the Waitlist Only option to approve and schedule based on a first-come basis.
