Manage Your Default Timezone

Set up a default time zone for your organization. When you create new opportunities, the opportunities default to the organization’s time zone. 

If you don’t set up a default time zone, new opportunities default to the current time zone of your IP address or device. 

Note: You can change an individual opportunity’s time zone even if your organization has a default time zone. For example, you might change it if the opportunity happens in a time zone that differs from the organization’s default. Or, you might change an opportunity’s time zone seasonally if your region doesn’t observe Daylight Savings Time (DST). Shift times remain the same after you change the timezone.

Add Default Timezone

To set up a default time zone for your organization:

  1. Open your organization. If you are in more than one organization, open the organization where you want to manage your time zone.
  2. On the organization home page, click General Settings.
  3. Select Organization Settings

  4. In the Default Timezone section, click the Timezone drop-down list.

  5. Search for your time zone in the Search bar. 
  6. Select the correct time zone for your organization.
    The time zone automatically saves.

Remove Default Timezone

To remove a default time zone from your organization:

  1. Open your organization. If you are in more than one organization, open the organization where you want to manage your time zone.
  2. On the organization home page, click General Settings.
  3. Select Organization Settings.
  4. In the Default Timezone section, click Remove Default Timezone.

View Default Timezone

  1. Open your organization. If you are in more than one organization, open the organization where you want to view your time zone.
  2. On the organization home page, click General Settings.
  3. Select Organization Settings
  4. Go to the Default Timezone section. If your organization has a default time zone, the time zone appears.

Edit Default Timezone

  1. Open your organization. If you are in more than one organization, open the organization where you want to edit your time zone.
  2. On the organization home page, click General Settings.
  3. Select Organization Settings
  4. In the Default Timezone section, click the Timezone drop-down list.
  5. Search your time zone in the Search bar. 
  6. Select the correct time zone for your organization.
    The time zone automatically saves.
